Chris Millard

Chris Millard has an extensive work experience with various companies. Chris joined Laing O'Rourke in 2016 as the Head of Engineering Excellence, leading a team of construction industry experts and ensuring alignment of engineering strategies with the business. Prior to this, they worked at Balfour Beatty from 2011 to 2015 as Regional Managing Director and Business Efficiency Director, where they restructured and improved operational and work winning performance. From 2004 to 2011, Chris held several roles at BAA, including Programme Director, Solutions Director, and Head of Engineering. During their time at BAA, they led the development and implementation of large-scale projects at Heathrow Airport. Before that, they worked at Rover Group as Engineering Director and at BMW Group as Project Director and Engineering Director. Their career started in 1984 as a Graduate at Jaguar/Rover/Honda.

Chris Millard has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from Imperial College London between 1980 and 1983. Chris then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick from 1986 to 1988. Later, Chris completed their education by earning a Doctor of Engineering Business Management degree from the University of Warwick within the period of 1993 to 1997.
