Kathleen Montgomery

Kathleen Montgomery has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion and design industry. Kathleen is currently the Director of Design & Innovation at LAIRD, a position they started in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Siño Studios as a Creative Director, starting in May 2016. Kathleen also has experience as the Founder of Grounded Kidswear, where they played a key role in establishing the company in September 2015.

Their previous roles include working as a Designer II at Nike from January 2019 to December 2022, and as a Freelance Designer at adidas from January 2017 to December 2018. Before that, they held the position of Women's Designer and Assistant Product Development Manager at CROOKS & CASTLES from January 2012 to February 2016. Kathleen gained valuable experience as a Styling Intern at Sophia Banks-Coloma in September 2011, and as a Design/Production Intern at Mike Gonzalez from June 2011 to August 2011. Kathleen also worked as a Design Intern at OBEY Clothing from August 2010 to January 2011, and in Sales & Marketing at Attic from June 2009 to September 2010.

Kathleen Montgomery's education history includes a variety of experiences in the field of fashion and apparel design, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science with a focus on Environmental Science.

In 2006, they enrolled at the University of California, Riverside, and studied there until 2010, ultimately obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science with a specialization in Environmental Science.

In 2010, Kathleen participated in an Internship Academy at Orange Coast College, where they likely gained practical experience in Fashion/Apparel Design.

In 2013, they attended the Parsons School of Design - The New School and obtained a certificate in Fashion Design & Marketing.

During the same year, Kathleen also studied at the Central Saint Martins School for Design within the University of the Arts London, obtaining a certificate in Fashion/Apparel Design.

Additionally, they earned a certification in Fashion Design from the joint program offered by Parsons and Central Saint Martins in July 2013.
