Barry Brown has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Barry began their career at GE Healthcare as a Software Engineer, where they worked on CT scanner and CT/MR common platform software development. Barry also served as the principal architect for the data acquisition subsystem of the LightSpeed CT scanner.
In 1996, they joined Mortara Instrument as a Software Project Engineer, responsible for product development and prototyping. Barry gradually rose through the ranks and held various roles including Product Integration Manager (Engineering), Software Engineering Manager, and Product Integration Manager (Marketing). Barry was responsible for developing data exchange interfaces, managing software development projects, marketing ECG management products, and leading cross-functional teams.
Barry then moved to Hillrom, where they served as Director, Connectivity and later as Sr. Manager, Cardiology Connectivity. In these roles, they developed comprehensive connectivity training workshops, delivered global product training, created technical documentation, and served as a cybersecurity engineer. Barry also delivered a connectivity roadmap for ambulatory and acute care markets.
Currently, Barry is working at Laitek Inc. as the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Product Management. Barry'sresponsibilities include ensuring information security and overseeing product management.
Throughout their career, Barry has demonstrated expertise in software development, project management, product integration, and connectivity in the healthcare industry.
Barry Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Following their undergraduate education, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Marquette University from 1988 to 1994.
