Robin Grooms

Robin Grooms is a seasoned sustainability professional currently serving as the Sustainability Program Manager for Lake County since June 2022. Previously, Robin held the position of Sustainability Coordinator for the Village of Hawthorn Woods, where leadership was provided for comprehensive sustainability initiatives, including the development of a ten-year sustainability plan and achieving third-party environmental designations. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Sustainability from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Policy from Northern Illinois University. Additional experience encompasses internships and leadership roles at the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and the Student Conservation Association, contributing to conservation projects and mentorship in career services.
