Carolyn Brune has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Carolyn began their career at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 1987, working in Admissions and Financial Aid until 1998. Following this, they worked as a Recruiter at Murphy Employment Agency from 1986 to 1987. In 1985, they served as a Peer Counselor at Iowa State University's Financial Aid Office. Brune returned to Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2004 as a Marketing and Admissions Analyst until 2009. Carolyn then transitioned into various leadership roles within the same institution, including Director of Admissions from 2010 to 2016 and Senior Director of Admissions from 2016 to 2021. Currently, Brune holds the position of Senior Director of Marketing Operations at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Additionally, they joined Lake Forest Center for Leadership in 2021 as the Senior Director of Marketing Operations.

Carolyn Brune obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communications from Iowa State University between 1982 and 1986. Carolyn then pursued a Master of Education (M Ed) degree in Higher Education Administration and Counseling at Loyola University Chicago from 1990 to 1994. Finally, they completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management from 2009 to 2013.
