Lake Huron Medical Center

The hospital was originally opened in in 1954 by a group of nuns. Recently the hospital was purchased by Prime Healthcare Services and the companies name was changed to Lake Huron Medical Center. We are a 144-bed acute care hospital providing adult medical/surgical services, emergency care, cancer care, cardiac care, bariatric care, inpatient rehabilitation services, including stroke care, orthopedics and joint replacement, and a vast number of other testing, health, and medical services. Lake Huron Medical Center is a member of Prime Healthcare. The Lake Huron Foundation encompasses the People’s Clinic for Better Health, the Lake Huron Medical Auxiliary Volunteer Organization as well as charitable funds for patient care needs. Together, these organizations strive to provide high quality, cost-effective health care to the mind, body and spirit of all those we serve and to be noble stewards of the resources entrusted to us. Prime Healthcare has been instrumental in leading our local foundation through this process with a focus on keeping our donor dollars within our community. The marketing department is primarily focused on ways to get the companies name and brand to be recognizable to as many people as possible. There are many ways the department does this, whether its through merchandise, sponsorships, or hosting fundraisers. Along with getting the company name out to the public, we also focus on finding people that could potentially donate to our hospital to help with the our new foundation and patient care needs.
