John Venen

John Venen has a strong background in social media, public relations, and advertising. John has worked at Lake Metroparks since 1993, starting as the Farmpark Gift Shop Manager, where they successfully managed daily operations and implemented effective marketing strategies. John then became the Marketing Manager/Sales & Corporate Services, where they built relations with local media to highlight the agency's offerings and increased online visibility through website management. As the Promotions and Advertising Manager, they strengthened relations with the media and integrated online registration systems. Currently, they are the Social Media and Public Relations Manager, effectively engaging with over 110,000 followers and demonstrating a commitment to the community. In addition, they served as the President of Lake Communicators in 2010.

John Venen attended Ohio Northern University from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (BSBA) degree. Their field of study at the university included Marketing and Computer Science.
