Barbara Eccles

Barbara Eccles is the current secretary at Lakehead University. Barbara has held previous positions at Synergy North, ACCT Canada, and the Association of University Technology Managers. At Cheadle Johnson Shanks MacIvor, they were an associate lawyer concentrating in management labour law, corporate law, tax, bankruptcy, and insolvency. In the Canadian Armed Forces, they served as a lieutenant and retired as a MARS officer.

Barbara Eccles has completed a Directors Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors, an LLM in International Commercial Law at Northumbria University, a JD in Law at the University of Toronto, and an HBSc in Physics with Energy and Fuel Science at Lakehead University.
