Bill Maloney

Director, Research Partnerships at Lakehead University

Bill Maloney has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bill started their career in 2008 as a Policy Analyst at Nishnawbe Aski Nation, where they reviewed environmental policies, developed briefing notes and presentations, and conducted an in-depth study on drinking water issues affecting First Nation communities in Nishnawbe Aski territories. In 2012, they co-founded Ad Labs Inc. and served as a Co-Founder until 2016. During this time, they played a pivotal role in the establishment and growth of the company. From 2016 to 2019, Bill worked as a Program Lead - Climate Change Program at Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation. In this role, they provided technical and advisory services to First Nation organizations and communities, delivered presentations on climate change issues, cap and trade, and carbon offsets, and assisted communities in developing climate change plans and feasibility studies. In 2019, they joined Lakehead University as the Director of Research Partnerships.

Bill Maloney attended the University of Toronto from 2000 to 2004. Bill obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Biology. In 2018, they also completed additional certifications in Project Execution, Project Planning, and Project Launch from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education.
