Suresh Baskaran has over three decades of experience in research and development, currently serving as the Director of Research Partnerships at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) since 1993, where efforts are focused on building collaborations with universities, research sponsors, and industry to enhance scientific capabilities and impact. Previously, Suresh held various leadership roles at PNNL, including Chief Science & Technology Officer for the Energy & Environment Directorate, managing significant investments in materials science and advanced controls. Prior to PNNL, Suresh worked as an Assistant Research Scientist and Visiting Scientist at the University of Michigan, and as a Research Engineer at Ferro Corporation. Suresh holds a Ph.D. in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master's Degree in Materials Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
