Kathy Kortes-Miller

Kathy Kortes-Miller, MSW, PhD, serves as the Director of the Centre for Education and Research on Aging & Health and is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Lakehead University, where employment has continued since 2000. Kathy has held several academic positions, including Sessional Lecturer, focusing on social work, gerontology, and palliative care education. Research efforts include a dissertation on death education methodologies for healthcare professionals and a fellowship at Technology Evaluation for the Elderly, extending research on simulation in palliative care. Previous roles also involved curriculum development for the Centre for Education and Research on Aging and Health.
