Mark Tilbury, MA, CFRE has a diverse work experience that includes roles in alumni and community relations, annual fund and alumni engagement, as well as in museum management and chamber of commerce membership services. Mark has served as Alumni & Community Relations Director and Annual Fund and Alumni Engagement Director at Lakehead University since 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a CAO and Deputy Director at the Thunder Bay Museum from 2002 to 2013. From 1994 to 1995, they were the Membership Services Director at the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, where they were responsible for coordinating programs, editing newsletters, designing brochures, and engaging with members. In 1993, they held the position of Student Placement Officer at Lakehead University.
Mark Tilbury holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Philanthropy & Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (HBComm) degree in Personnel & Industrial Relations from Lakehead University, graduating between 1990 and 1994. Mark is also a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), certified by CFRE International. In addition to their formal education, Mark has obtained various certifications, including "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers," both from LinkedIn Learning in 2020.
