Peter Caldwell

Peter Caldwell is a board member at Lakehead University. Peter has previously held positions as director and CEO of the Ontario Arts Council, member of the board of directors of the Laidlaw Foundation, and treasurer and member of the board of directors of Toronto Artscape Inc.

Born in Toronto, Peter Caldwell has always been interested in the arts. After completing their undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, they worked in various arts organizations before eventually becoming director and CEO of the Ontario Arts Council. During their time at the OAC, they helped invest in professional artists and not-for-profit arts organizations.

In 2011, they joined the board of directors of the Laidlaw Foundation, where they promoted positive youth development through inclusive youth engagement in the arts, environment and community. Peter also served as treasurer and member of the board of directors of Toronto Artscape Inc., a not-for-profit enterprise engaged in culture-led regeneration.

Through their work with these various organizations, Peter Caldwell has made a significant contribution to the arts in Ontario. Peter continues to be an active supporter of the arts, and is currently serving as a board member at Lakehead University.

Peter Caldwell has a MBA in Business Administration from Ivey Business School at Western University.
