James Nigro, CRC, has a comprehensive background in risk management and lending. James is currently serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer at Lakeland Bank since March 2016. In this role, they oversee enterprise risk management, including credit, compliance, fraud prevention, information security, and operational risk management. Prior to Lakeland Bank, Nigro worked at The Provident Bank as the Senior Vice President, Credit Risk Manager from December 2013 to March 2016. James evaluated and monitored the credit quality of the bank's loan portfolio and reported to the Board of Directors and Senior Management. Nigro also held the position of Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending at Lakeland Bank for a brief period in 2013. Before that, they worked at Somerset Hills Bank as the Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer from July 2001 to May 2013, overseeing various lending functions. Their career started at Summit Bank (NJ) in 1984, where they held multiple roles, including Vice President & Sales Manager, Business Banking and Vice President & Manager, Community Real Estate. Throughout their career, Nigro demonstrated expertise in risk management, credit analysis, loan origination, and business development.

James Nigro, CRC completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Seton Hall University, where they studied from 1985 to 1991. James attained the Credit Risk Certification from The Risk Management Association in December 2016.
