Laura C. Barnard

Laura Barnard is a seasoned academic and legal professional with extensive experience in higher education and law. Since 1993, Laura has held multiple leadership roles at Lakeland Community College, including Professor and Director of Paralegal Studies, Executive Vice President and Provost, and Associate Provost for Retention and Completion. Prior to their academic career, Laura practiced as a Labor and Employment Lawyer at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey from 1983 to 1986 and at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff from 1986 to 1989. Laura earned a Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and an AB in History from Mount Holyoke College.
