Daniel Timbrell

Daniel Timbrell is an accomplished Applied Machine Learning Scientist at Lakera since October 2022, previously serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Synechron from January to September 2022. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist Risk and Pricing role at ING Nederland from June 2018 to December 2021, where Daniel developed a Credit Risk model pipeline to predict loan defaults. Daniel's academic background includes a PhD from UCL, where research focused on metamaterials for defense applications, as well as roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a researcher at Qioptiq, contributing to advanced laser protection technologies. Daniel's educational qualifications also encompass an Msci in Physics from Imperial College London and participation in a Doctoral Training Centre at the University of Cambridge.
