Katy Burke

Katy Burke has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katy most recently worked at Lakes Regional Healthcare as the Director of Population and Public Health, where they were responsible for developing, operating, and evaluating population health services. Prior to that, they held roles as an Interim Public Health Coordinator and a Public Health Educator at the same organization. Katy also has experience as a Program Assistant at Iowa State University, a Bilingual Tech Support Representative at John Deere, and a Translator at Editora Bonijuris. Katy has also worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and an Educational Consultant at Rubicon International. Additionally, Katy has held positions as a Curriculum Developer at Community Health Narratives, an ESL Instructor and International Programming Coordinator at Escola Dinâmica, an Environmental Education Intern at Iowa Lakeside Lab, and a Planning and Communications Intern at The World Food Prize Foundation.

Katy Burke has a comprehensive education history that includes a Master of Science in Education from Purdue University, specializing in Learning Design and Technology, obtained between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies and Global Health at the University of Iowa, spanning from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Katy had a brief study period at the University of Strathclyde in 2011 and attended Marquette University from 2008 to 2009. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute in August 2018.
