Ryan Rader

Ryan Rader has over 20 years of work experience in various technical writing and user assistance roles. Their most recent position was at Lakeside Software, where they worked as a Senior User Assistance Developer. Prior to that, they worked at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) as a Senior Technical Writer, responsible for converting PDF Help documents into an Online Help Center and designing the structure and layout of the Online Help Center. Ryan also worked at Broadridge as a Technical Writer Consultant, performing Confluence Space Administrator duties and converting Microsoft Word documents into Confluence. Before that, they were a Lead Technical Writer at Prysm Inc., where they converted content from Confluence and PDFs into Madcap Flare and built multiple online Help Center websites. Ryan also has experience working as a Senior Technical Writer at Aprimo (and Teradata), creating documentation for cloud-based, SaaS, and on-premises products. Prior to their technical writing roles, Ryan worked in validation engineering and compliance auditing roles at Roche Diagnostics (through Pinnacle Solutions, Inc.) and CNO Financial Group respectively. Ryan began their career as a Technical Writer at CTG, writing and maintaining software manuals and training courses. Ryan also worked as a Technical Writer at Powerway, Inc., where they wrote user documentation and created a web-based help system for a quality-control web site. Ryan also worked at CTG as a Technical Writer, writing technical manuals and training courses for FDA-mandated global software programs. Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated strong skills in writing, editing, content conversion, and user assistance design.

Ryan Rader graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and English (double major) from Indiana University Bloomington in 1993. In addition to their educational background, Ryan has obtained certifications in API technical writing and documentation from Udemy in November 2016.
