Dr. Michael Milstead

District Administrator At-risk Students at Lamar Consolidated ISD

Dr. Michael Milstead possesses extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the District Administrator for At-Risk Students at Lamar Consolidated ISD since July 2009, and previously held the position of High School Principal. Prior to this, Dr. Milstead was the Middle School Principal at Atlanta Public Schools from July 2006 to July 2009 and the Elementary Principal at Fort Bend ISD from June 1999 to July 2006. Additionally, Dr. Milstead contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Professor at Houston Community College and as an Instructor for the Teacher Alternative Certification Program at the Texas Education Agency. Dr. Milstead holds a Doctor of Education degree from Texas Southern University, a Master of Education from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Houston, further complemented by educational leadership training at Harvard University.
