Brett Welch currently serves as the Acting Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lamar University, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Brett Welch was the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies at the same institution. Academically, Brett Welch holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans, obtained in May 2003, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northwestern State University, completed in May 1998.
