Misty Phelps

Misty Phelps, M.Ed.L, currently serves as a Counselor Intern at Lamar University since August 2023, with a 2024 placement at Revelation Counseling Services. Concurrently, Misty holds the position of Senior Project Manager for TCHATT Outreach & YAM Program at UT Health San Antonio, beginning in October 2022. Previous experience includes a Program Coordinator role at the Education Service Center, Region 20 from November 2014 to October 2022, and various leadership positions within Bright Horizons from June 2003 to November 2014, including Executive Director and Assistant Director at the Child Care Center at Citibank. Earlier career roles also involve serving as a Grade Level Lead Teacher in Lytle ISD from August 1999 to June 2003 and as a Teacher & Supervisor at the USAA Child Development Center during the late 1990s. Currently, Misty is pursuing graduate coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University, having previously earned a Master of Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
