Joe Dillon, Ph.D., MBA

Joe Dillon, Ph.D., MBA has an extensive work experience in the medical, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. Joe is currently serving as the President & CEO of Dillon Capital Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in strategy and business analytics. Joe founded the company in 2008 with a focus on the business side of drug, device, and diagnostic development and partnering.

In addition to their current role, Dr. Dillon also holds the position of Head of Business Development at Laminar Pharma, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in membrane lipid therapy. Joe joined the company in 2023 and is responsible for the discovery, rational design, and initial clinical development of drugs based on this novel therapeutic approach.

Dr. Dillon has worked with various other companies in the industry. Joe served as a consultant for Rallybio, a biotechnology company focused on transforming the lives of patients with devastating diseases. Joe'srole involved valuations, deal structuring, and advising on key deals.

Prior to their current roles, Dr. Dillon was the CEO of BioPact, a medical nanotechnology development company. Joe led the company from 2015 to 2017, where they developed and utilized medical grade molecular rebar derived from carbon nanotubes.

Before BioPact, Dr. Dillon was the Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at The Mattson Jack Group from 2001 to 2009. Joe played a key role in the company's corporate development activities.

Prior to that, they filled the interim role of CEO at Pharmaceutical Development Center, starting as CFO. Joe led the company's growth and eventually sold it to a multi-national pharma company before making a planned exit.

Dr. Dillon also served as the Executive VP & CFO of Vail Banks, Inc., leading their IPO process and completing three acquisitions before leaving the company.

Earlier in their career, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Oread Drug Development and held various roles in business development and R&D evaluation and analysis at Marion Laboratories.

Joe Dillon, Ph.D., MBA completed their BBA in Finance from Washburn University. Joe then pursued their MBA in International Finance from Kansas State University. Subsequently, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Metaphysical Sciences from UMS, where they studied between 2008 and 2015.
