Kian Moini began their work experience in 2011 as a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company, where they worked until 2013. In 2014, they co-founded Lamudi and served as the CEO. From 2019, they worked as a Venture Scout at Picus Capital and also became an Investor & Advisor for Peace of Meat. In 2021, they joined qlub as an Investor & Advisor.

Kian Moini's education history includes various degrees and studies in entrepreneurship and international economics & business. In 2007, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Amsterdam and completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons, cum laude) in International Economics & Business in 2010. During their undergraduate program, they also had a semester abroad at UNSW in 2009.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Kian pursued further education in entrepreneurship. From 2010 to 2011, they attended three different institutions for their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Entrepreneurship: emlyon business school, Zhejiang University, and Babson F.W.
