Raul Alfaro-Pelico

Raul Alfaro-Pelico, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in climate policy, sustainable finance, and renewable energy. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser for the Climate Investment Funds and a Senior Fellow at Lancaster University's School of Engineering, Raul advises on industry decarbonization and sustainable energy research. Previously, Raul chaired the Steering Group of the International Renewable Energy Agency's Coalition for Action and directed its Knowledge, Policy and Finance Centre. With a career spanning various key organizations including Sustainable Energy for All, RMI, UN Climate Change, and the World Bank, Raul has made significant contributions to climate finance and energy access initiatives. Raul holds a PhD in Engineering from Lancaster University and multiple degrees in economics and business administration.
