Dr. Hannes Riechmann-Thies

Dr. Hannes Riechmann-Thies has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dr. Hannes started their career as a System Administrator at a mid-size law firm, where they were responsible for managing and evolving the firm's IT systems. Dr. Hannes then went on to co-found and work as an IT-Consultant at R-Quadrat IT-Consulting GbR.

In 2010, they joined the University of Bielefeld as a PHD Student, focusing on their dissertation research project. Following this, Dr. Riechmann-Thies worked as a Software Developer at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity - gateprotect GmbH. Dr. Hannes later transitioned to Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, where they served as a Senior Software Developer and Team Coordinator for Firewall-related projects.

Currently, Dr. Riechmann-Thies is employed at LANCOM Systems GmbH, where they hold the position of Team Coordinator for R&D Firewall projects. Dr. Hannes also serves as the Team Lead for the same department.

Dr. Hannes Riechmann-Thies completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science at Paderborn University from 2004 to 2008. Dr. Hannes then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science at the same university from 2008 to 2010. In 2006 and 2007, they studied Computer Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Dr. Riechmann-Thies obtained a Doctor of Engineering (PhD) degree from the University of Bielefeld in 2015.
