Chris Helderman has a diverse work experience in the brewing industry. Chris started their career as a Quality Assurance Intern at Vertellus Specialties Inc. in 2009, followed by a Quality Assurance Internship at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in 2010. Chris then worked as an Enology Assistant/Assistant Winemaker at Purdue University from 2009 to 2011, where they also served as a Teaching Assistant for a Wine Appreciation course. From 2011 to 2014, Chris worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Tate & Lyle. Chris gained valuable hands-on experience as a Brewing Intern at Deschutes Brewery in 2014, where they were responsible for troubleshooting deviations in fermentation and daily production. Chris then moved on to Land-Grant Brewing Company, where they held various roles including Brewer, Brewery Production Manager, Director of Brewing Operations, and currently serves as the Director of Engineering.
Chris Helderman received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Food Science from Purdue University, where they attended from 2006 to 2011. In 2015, they obtained a Master Brewer Certificate from UC Davis Extension, specializing in Brewing.
