Kelly Watkinson

Kelly Watkinson is a resource and land conservation professional with extensive experience in managing conservation programs and initiatives. Currently serving as the Land and Climate Program Manager at Land Trust Alliance since May 2017, Kelly oversees the national Land and Climate Program, providing strategies, training, and tools to support member land trusts in addressing climate change. Prior to this role, Kelly was the Executive Director at Cacapon and Lost Rivers Land Trust, where responsibilities included the management of nonprofit operations and conservation programs for 14,000 acres in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Additionally, Kelly held the position of Senior Director of Land Protection at Potomac Conservancy, directing land program activities and coordinating budget management and strategic planning. Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from Indiana University Bloomington and completed further education at Virginia Tech.
