Machine Learning Engineer at Landing AI

Bastian Diaz has a diverse range of work experience. Starting from 2017, they worked as an Intern in Data Analytics at PwC Czech Republic, where they developed a credit scoring system for a major bank using Python, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS. In 2017, they also co-founded Check Solutions and served as the COO, achieving significant milestones and securing funding.

In 2018, Bastian joined Falabella Retail S.A as a Data Scientist, where they focused on enhancing the user experience in the company's e-commerce platform through the development of machine learning algorithms using Python, SQL, and GCP.

In 2019, Bastian worked at Aldebaran as a Digital Consultant, where they developed a web platform and mobile app for managing machinery documents, maintenance, and diesel performance using Django, JS, and Flutter.

From 2019 to 2021, Bastian worked at Cadem in multiple roles. As a Data Scientist, they focused on the implementation of data pipelines and the re-design of data architecture. As a Mid-level IT Manager, they led a team in implementing hybrid cloud environments and reducing infrastructure costs. Finally, as an IT Manager, they defined protocols and standards for software development processes and led the software development team.

Currently, Bastian is working at LANDING AI as a Machine Learning Engineer. Bastian'sresponsibilities include leading Proof of Concepts and customers, incorporating computer vision into production lines, and conducting research and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies.

Throughout their work experience, Bastian has demonstrated expertise in machine learning, data analytics, software development, and IT management.

Bastian Diaz attended the Universidad de Chile from 2013 to 2018, where they studied Civil Electrical Engineering. Bastian did not obtain a specific degree during their time at the university. In terms of additional certifications, they received several from Microsoft in 2017. These certifications include "DAT203.3x: Applied Machine Learning," "Programming with Python for Data Science," "DAT203.2x: Principles of Machine Learning," "Essential Statistics for Data Analysis using Excel," "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI," and "Querying with Transact-SQL."
