Jim Hartman has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and positions. Jim is currently working at Landis+Gyr as a Principal Engineer, System Architect since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Systems Architect at the same company starting from July 2021. Jim also worked as a Senior Technical Delivery Lead at Landis+Gyr from May 2019 to July 2021. Prior to joining Landis+Gyr, Jim worked as an Embedded Systems Consultant at Three Pines Technology from March 2019 to May 2019. Jim also served as a Software Engineering Manager at California Eastern Laboratories (CEL) from September 2018 to February 2019. Jim started their career as an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems in July 1997 and has since worked in various engineering roles including Design Engineer at ARRIS, Embedded Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems, Design Engineer (contractor) at Osmetech, Principal Firmware Engineer at Tendril, Lead Embedded Software Engineer at Landis+Gyr, Senior Design Engineer and HAN Systems Architect at Landis + Gyr, and Senior Software Engineer at California Eastern Laboratories (CEL).
Jim Hartman obtained a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University in 1997. Jim later pursued a higher education and earned an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University between 1998 and 2003. In 2016, they also obtained a certification in CISSP from (ISC)².
