Emma Mees has extensive experience in the retail industry, primarily focusing on asset and property management of shopping centers. Emma started their career at Plus Shops Retail as a Portfolio Surveyor, where they worked for six years. In this role, Emma improved the assets of three shopping centers by coordinating the professional team, maintaining good client relations, and negotiating new leases. Emma then joined Jones Lang LaSalle as a Senior Surveyor, managing four shopping centers in the South East for institutional clients. Emma's responsibilities included establishing client relationships, improving capital value through planned projects and sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the properties were always ready for sale. Since 2014, Emma has been working at Landsec, where they have held various roles. As a Portfolio Manager, they successfully brought an enhanced experience to customers while improving value in shopping centers such as White Rose, Buchanan Galleries, and Trinity Leeds. Emma then became a Senior Portfolio Manager, focusing on the redevelopment of Westgate Oxford shopping center and the management of Bluewater, one of the largest destinations in the UK. Currently, Emma is serving as a Brand Account Manager at Landsec, where they utilize their expertise in brand management and account handling to enhance the overall experience and asset value of the company's shopping centers.

Emma Mees has a diverse education history. In 2003, they attended Northumbria University and received a degree in History of Art. After that, in 2006, they enrolled at Cass Business School and studied Property Valuation & Law, completing their degree in 2007. Furthermore, Emma pursued higher education at Cranfield School of Management from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Alongside their academic achievements, Emma also received additional certifications. In 2009, they attained the title of Chartered Surveyor from the institution RICS. Later, in April 2020, they became a Chartered Manager through the Chartered Management Institute.
