Hyongsil Cho (Ph.D.

HyongSil Cho (PhD, MBA) serves as the Director at SiLnD since October 2016, specializing in technical consultation and analysis of European AI policy and technology trends. With extensive experience at Microsoft from May 2008, roles include Information Technology Project Management Consultant and Language Experts PM, focusing on text-to-speech development and leading interdisciplinary teams. Additional experience includes positions as a Senior Computational Linguist at LangTec, a guest lecturer at Leiden University, and various roles in project management and linguistic consultancy across multiple organizations, particularly in TTS and speech recognition. HyongSil Cho holds an MBA from the University of Amsterdam, a PhD in Phonetics from Aix-Marseille University, and a Master’s Degree in French Linguistics from Seoul National University.
