James Paton

James Paton has extensive experience in the investment management and financial services sectors, currently serving as a member of the Asia team at Lansdowne Partners since June 2022. Prior to this role, James worked as the Managing Director of Asia Coverage at Brummer & Partners and as a Partner at BFP Partners Ltd, specializing in capital raising for alternative asset managers and real estate projects. Additional leadership positions include Managing Director at Altana Wealth, Duet Group, and Vulpes IM, with a strong focus on investor relations and business development. James began a distinguished career in fixed income sales at major institutions such as Societe Generale, Lehman Brothers, and J.P. Morgan, where responsibilities included managing teams and delivering financial solutions to institutional clients. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Accountancy from The University of Edinburgh.
