Tuija Tuormaa

Tuija Tuormaa is an experienced health professional with a strong background in preventive work and project development. Currently serving as a Preventive Work Specialist at Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue since January 2023, Tuija previously worked at the City of Espoo as a Preventive Mental Health & Substance Abuse Specialist. With a Master of Health Sciences in Public Health from the University of Eastern Finland, Tuija has held various roles including Project Developer at Miina Sillanpää Foundation, Project Coordinator at The Finnish Federation of Hard of Hearing, and Project Worker at Monika – Multicultural Women’s Association. Tuija has extensive experience in project management, research, and developing health initiatives, particularly aimed at vulnerable populations such as the elderly and those affected by domestic violence.
