Aparna Krishnamurthy

Aparna Krishnamurthy currently serves as a Water Operations/Engineering Intern at the Lansing Board of Water & Light, focusing on engineering and operations for water treatment plants. Previous internship experiences include roles in project engineering, where Aparna analyzed piping configurations for corrosion issues, and project management involving data analytics tools. In addition to technical roles, Aparna holds leadership positions in Project RISHI as Co-President and Director of Finance, Fundraising, and Marketing, leading efforts to build toilets in an underprivileged village in Tamil Nadu, India. Engagement with community-oriented initiatives includes mentoring first-year students in the Women in Science and Engineering Residence Program and participating in various finance and outreach roles within student organizations at the University of Michigan, where Aparna is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Operations Engineering with a minor in Civil Engineering.
