Gilian De Raes has a wealth of experience in the IT industry. Gilian began their career in 2008 as a Technical Consultant for Talent Planet, where they achieved two Microsoft Technical Specialist Certificates and attended several business trainings. In 2010, they moved to Voxtron Benelux as a Field Engineer, where they integrated the Voxtron software with telephony hardware and customer databases. In 2011, they became an Infrastructure & Application Operation Expert and Digital Champion IT for Alpha Credit, BNP Paribas Personal Finance. Here, they provided a supporting service for the business departments by working on the IT infrastructure and the operation of the offered applications. In 2015, they joined De Persgroep Publishing as an Infrastructure - Unified Communications & Collaboration - ICT Systems Specialist. Finally, in 2017, they began working for Lansweeper as a Product Manager, Development Manager IT Asset Discovery, and Development Technical Team Lead. As Development Manager, they optimized the internal processes to improve the SDLC. As Development Technical Team Lead, they added the extra scanning functionality which listens in on inbound network packets instead of having to poll the remote targets actively. As IT Developer, they provided software which gives insight of all the assets in their customer’s network environment.

Gilian De Raes completed a Bachelor of Applied Computer Science in Networks from HOGENT between 2004 and 2007. Before that, they obtained an ASO in Economics and Modern Languages from Broedersschool between 1998 and 2004. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Udemy in How To Write User Stories That Deliver Real Business Value (October 2022) and Product Management A-Z: A Hands-on, Real-World Simulation (May 2022). Gilian also has certifications from Global Knowledge Belgium in Technical Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring (January 2009) and Technical Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring (December 2008).
