Scott Hitchins

Scott Hitchins is an experienced Process Safety Engineer currently at LANXESS since August 2013. Prior experience includes roles at INVISTA as a Polyol Production Engineer and Asset Owner for Water Systems from June 2008 to August 2013, overseeing various water treatment operations. At Coatings and Adhesives, Scott served as ESH Manager/Plant Engineer, leading environmental, safety, and health activities and successfully starting up a new polymerization process. Previous positions include Account Manager at GE Energy, managing a significant $1.6M account, and Manufacturing Team Leader at Pfizer, overseeing daily operations within an API facility and leading safety initiatives. Scott's career began at Bayer MaterialScience as a Process Engineer and continued at Sterling Chemicals as a Process Safety Engineer. Education was completed with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and earlier studies at Brazosport College.
