Michael Heraty

Michael Heraty has a strong background in finance and internal auditing. Michael is currently the Vice President of Internal Audit & SOX Compliance at LanzaTech since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Finance Executive from July 2021 to June 2023, and was responsible for overseeing financial operations. Before that, Michael served as the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for Gogo Commercial Aviation, an Intelsat Company, from December 2020 to July 2021, where they led financial analysis and integration efforts. Michael also worked at Gogo as the Vice President of Internal Audit from March 2014 to December 2020, and built the internal audit department. Prior to Gogo, Michael worked as the Senior Director of Internal Audit at Whirlpool Corporation from January 2012 to March 2014, and as the Director of Internal Audit at Verizon Communications from July 2004 to January 2012. Michael also held various financial roles at Verizon Communications and Quaker Oats earlier in their career. Michael began their career as a Senior Auditor at Whitman Corporation in 1991.

Michael Heraty holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michael also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the State of Illinois.
