Nhiem Cao

Nhiem Cao has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nhiem is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Lapovations, LLC since September 2020. In this role, they oversee operations and provides technical support for the commercialization of laparoscopic lifting devices. Nhiem also directs R&D efforts and streamlines supply chains for commercialization.

Prior to this, Nhiem Cao was the President of C12XL LLC, starting from July 2016. C12XL is a consulting company that specializes in developing and scaling up sustainable chemistry solutions. They focus on utilizing biomass and other renewable resources to create environmentally friendly alternatives. Nhiem Cao provided technical and operational support for chemically modified lignin processes.

Before C12XL, Nhiem Cao co-founded and served as the President & CEO of cycleWood Solutions from November 2010 to June 2016. At cycleWood Solutions, they led the development, production, promotion, and sale of sustainable lignin-based materials. Nhiem successfully raised funds to finance business operations and research and development. Nhiem Cao also played a key role in coordinating and aligning the goals of all stakeholders.

Nhiem Cao gained valuable experience at Walmart as an Extern/Project Manager - Special Projects, starting in May 2010. In this role, they evaluated, developed, and implemented projects to improve ARC processes. Nhiem also analyzed large datasets to develop key performance indicators and provided project management expertise.

Additionally, Nhiem Cao worked as a Management Consultant at Nhiem Cao Consulting from July 2007 to January 2010. Here, they created a complete management system for a multi-location optometry practice, improving cash flow and implementing employee training programs to enhance customer service and employee performance.

Earlier in their career, Nhiem Cao held roles at Packaging Corporation of America and International Paper as a Stock Prep Supervisor, Process Engineer, and Process Engineer, respectively. At Packaging Corporation of America, they were responsible for managing wet-end paper machine operators and implemented cost reduction initiatives. At International Paper, they oversaw processes in various areas and designed innovative solutions with limited resources.

Nhiem Cao also gained experience in quality assurance roles at Rheem Manufacturing Company, where they were responsible for document revision, quality process analysis, and ISO9000 compliance.
