Karina Sutker

Karina Sutker is a Palliative and Hospice Registered Nurse at Horizon Hospice & Palliative Care since February 2021, specializing in comfort-based care for clients at end-of-life and coordinating interdisciplinary care. As a caregiver at L'Arche USA since October 2016, Karina contributes to an intentional community, managing homes, assisting clients, and facilitating team development. Previous experience includes working as a Registered Nurse in Oncology at Providence Health & Services, where Karina became chemotherapy certified and was recognized as Employee of the Month in August 2020. Karina also served as a Health Officer & Program Facilitator for the United Church of Christ, administering medications and deploying clinical expertise. Additional roles include student assistance at Elmhurst College’s Office of the Chaplain and customer service positions at Jewel Food Stores. Karina holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Intercultural Studies from Elmhurst University and studied at University College Dublin in 2015.
