Jorge A. Vela is currently the General Assignments Report Editor at the Laredo Morning Times. Prior to that, they worked as a Bilingual Interviewer for Customer Research International from October 2013 to May 2014. In that role, they conducted market research surveys via telephone in English and Spanish and annotated responses and thoughts of people surveyed in order to better understand their demographic and ideological region/area. Jorge also helped out students understand the instructor's expectations and clarify information presented by the instructor. In addition, Jorge provided additional information to reinforce concepts, and guide students to appropriate supplemental material for added explanations while keeping logs of students' confidentiality in the lab as well.
