Joel Demuner

Joel Demuner is an experienced metallurgical engineer with a career spanning over two decades in the mining and metallurgy industry. Currently serving as Coordenador de operações at Largo Resources Ltd. since March 2014, Joel manages the operations team for a calcination furnace and oversees the completion of operational training for teams. Previously, Joel worked as a consultant for a calcination furnace project facilitated by FLSmidth, where responsibilities included commissioning support and testing auxiliary systems. From June 2008 to August 2013, Joel held the position of Eng Especialista at Vale, focusing on the operation and training of the nickel reduction electric furnace team. Earlier in the career, Joel coordinated the metallurgical processes department at Anglo American from July 1997 to April 2008, implementing preventive and corrective measures in process operations. Joel obtained a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais between 1981 and 1985.
