Shawn Kernes

Shawn Kernes has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Shawn started their career as Director of Technology at AlcheMe, Inc. in 1999. Shawn then moved on to become VP of Technology at PoliceOne.com in 1999. In 2001, they joined StubHub as CTO/VP of Technology, where they played a key role in the online ticket exchange platform until its acquisition by eBay in 2007. Following that, they worked as Sr. Director of Product Development Customer Support at eBay from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, they became CTO/COO at Cash4Gold, a company providing a convenient way to monetize old and broken jewelry, and CardWoo, a platform for selling and buying discounted gift cards. From 2010 to 2012, Shawn served as CTO/COO at Beyond the Rack. In 2013, they held the position of CTO & SVP Product at Boost Media. At BuzzMob, they worked as a Mobster from 2013 to 2016, focusing on developing a location-based platform for real-time social media communication. In 2015, they joined Joist as C3PO until 2016. Currently, Shawn Kernes is serving as the Chief Executive Officer of LARKR, a mental health platform aiming to address the barriers to receiving care.

Shawn Kernes attended Marist College from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Shawn has obtained several certifications, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Networks+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA i-Net+, IBM Certified xSeries Specialist, Lotus Notes Certified Developer, and Microsoft Certified Network Administrator.
