Karen Ashby has over 20 years of experience in the stormwater and watershed management fields. Karen currently serves as Vice President and Project Manager at Larry Walker Associates, where they are responsible for providing regulatory assistance, developing and implementing stormwater management and watershed management programs, conducting training, evaluating program effectiveness, and preparing technical reports. Prior to joining Larry Walker Associates, they worked as an Environmental Specialist IV at the County of Orange, where they managed the municipal stormwater program and was involved in permit renewal oversight, water quality monitoring, watershed planning, and the development of stormwater program materials.
Karen Ashby attended UC Irvine from 1986 to 1991, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology. In addition, they obtained certification as a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality from the CPESC Council in August 2004.
