Damon Finazzo has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Damon is currently serving as the Vice President of Math Education at Larson Texts, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as the President of the Erie Catholic School System, where they successfully merged and acquired nine independent schools into a system of six campuses. During their tenure, they facilitated the establishment of new faculties and staff in each of the new school buildings and collaborated with multiple principals and employees to develop a new mission and vision for the system. Before that, Damon held the position of School Principal at Villa Maria Elementary School, where they significantly increased student enrollment, reduced the sponsorship subsidy from the operating budget, and greatly increased the cash reserves.
Damon Finazzo holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Grove City College. Damon also has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Virginia Commonwealth University. Damon attended McDowell High School for their secondary education. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications, including the Darden Executive Education & Lifelong Learning Business Management Certificate from UVA Darden Executive Education & Lifelong Learning, the Kolbe Certified™ Consultant certification from Kolbe Corp, and the Kolbe Youth Specialist™ Accreditation from Dynamynd, Inc. Damon also holds the Administrative II Principal PK-12 certification and the Instructional I Elementary K-6 certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Larson Texts employs a sizable staff of mathematicians, editors, technical and graphic artists, desktop publishers, educational consultants, web developers, and administrators.
