Kristy S. Mpa

Kristy S., MPA, has a strong background in human resources, with a focus on HR management and HRIS expertise. Kristy has held various HR roles throughout their career, including Human Resources Director at Larson Texts, Inc. and Big Ideas Learning since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at UPMC for many years, where they served as Human Resources Director at UPMC Chautauqua, UPMC Northwest, and UPMC Kane from 2019 to 2023. Before that, they held the position of Manager, Human Resources at UPMC Hamot, UPMC Northwest, and UPMC Kane from 2014 to 2019. Kristy also worked as an HR Consultant/HRIS Specialist at UPMC Hamot from 2010 to 2014.

In addition, Kristy gained experience in the HR field at Plastikos from 2008 to 2009, Haysite Reinforced Plastics Ltd from 2007 to 2008, and Rent-Way, Inc. from 2004 to 2007. Kristy began their career as an Information Technology Specialist at B.A.C. Consulting, Inc. from 1999 to 2004. Overall, Kristy has a strong track record in HR management and has held various positions that have allowed their to develop strong skills in HR strategy and implementation.

Kristy S., MPA, obtained their Master of Public Administration degree from Penn State University, where they studied Public Administration from 2011 to 2014. Prior to their MPA, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Business at Penn State University, graduating in 2011. Kristy also holds an associate degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Networking, which they obtained from the Tri-State Business Institute between 1998 and 2000.

In addition to their academic degrees, Kristy has obtained several certifications. Kristy is a certified HCI Strategic Human Resources Business Partner, which they obtained from the Human Capital Institute in February 2017. Kristy is also a Microsoft Certified Professional in Installing, Configuring, and Administering Windows 2000 Professional, earned from Microsoft in August 2001. Furthermore, Kristy holds a Microsoft Certified Professional certification in Implementing and Supporting Windows NT Server 4.0, which they obtained in November 1999.
