Director, Environmental Health Safety And Fire Prevention at Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority - LVCVA

Ruben White, MS, CSP, CSHM, currently serves as the Director of Environmental Health Safety and Fire Prevention at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority since 2022, overseeing a cross-functional department focused on EHS, fire prevention, emergency management, and training programs. Prior to this role, Ruben was the Manager of Occupational Health and Safety at Southwest Gas Corporation from 2016 to 2022, where leadership of a 10-member team across multiple states led to significant reductions in workplace injuries. In 2015-2016, Ruben acted as the Regional Environmental Health and Safety Manager at SA Recycling, ensuring compliance with numerous regulatory standards. Earlier experience includes roles as Compliance Safety and Health Supervisor and Officer at OSHA between 2010 and 2015, managing safety compliance investigations across Nevada. Ruben holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety/Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.
