Karthik Thiyagarajan

Karthik Thiyagarajan's work experience includes being a Co-Founder at Lasso Labs since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at Electric Capital from February 2022 to August 2022. From 2016 to 2022, Karthik worked at Netflix, where they held roles in Engineering related to content placement and popularity, as well as streaming data. At Netflix, they played a key role in designing data models and developing batch pipelines for ingesting and processing telemetry data. Before Netflix, Karthik worked as a Director of Engineering at Virtual Power Systems from July 2015 to March 2016, where they were responsible for building an intelligent system for energy management in data centers. Karthik also has experience as a Principal Software Engineer and Technical Lead at Quantifind from June 2010 to July 2015, where they contributed to building the company's technology stack. Karthik began their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, working on the development of a system for sensemaking of large graphs.

Karthik Thiyagarajan completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Anna University, during the period of 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Carnegie Mellon University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Networking from 2008 to 2010.
