Gabor Horvath has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on Android development. Gabor began their career as a Software Engineer Trainee at B. Braun Medical in 2012, where they developed software to simulate hardware operation and wrote unit tests to improve code coverage.
In 2015, Gabor joined Supercharge Ltd as an Android Developer, where they implemented Android applications for banking businesses, integrated real-time automated ID verification solutions, and improved project build-time by 50% by switching to Gradle.
From 2016 to 2020, Gabor worked as a Co-founder, CTO, and Android Software Engineer at VIMAGE App Ltd. Gabor was responsible for creating the Vimage app Android project, setting up a new organization, and making technology decisions.
In 2020, Gabor joined Tata Consultancy Services as an Android Software Engineer, where they worked on the My Invisalign app's clinical camera SDK. Gabor integrated TensorFlow Lite models into the project for real-time image recognition and improved real-time performance on Android by switching to the CameraX API.
Currently, Gabor is working as an Android Software Engineer at LastPass, where they are responsible for maintaining and developing the LastPass Password Manager Android application. Gabor also plays a role in hiring new colleagues, improving processes, and making technical decisions for the security-critical system.
Gabor Horvath pursued their education in Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Gabor completed their Bachelor's Degree from 2009 to 2013, followed by a Master's Degree from 2013 to 2015.
