Matthew Sommers

Matthew Sommers has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Matthew is currently working at Latchel as the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Program Manager for Industry Relations since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ProExhibits as a Business Development Manager from June 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining ProExhibits, Matthew worked for Latchel as a Sales Development Representative from June 2021 to June 2022. Matthew also has experience in the beverage industry, having served as an East Bay Account Manager for Federation Brewing from February 2019 to June 2021. During their time there, they established strategic partnerships, grew the account base, and consistently exceeded sales goals.

Matthew's work history also includes positions such as a Bartender at BottleTaps from March 2018 to February 2019, an Office Administrator at Certent, Inc. from March 2018 to September 2018, and a Keyholder at Fieldwork Brewing Company from October 2016 to March 2018.

Matthew even worked as a Manager at The Growler Pub from March 2015 to December 2016, where they managed the front of house and wrote schedules. Prior to that, Matthew served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at California State University, East Bay from September 2013 to June 2015, assisting faculty members in teaching history classes.

Matthew Sommers earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American History (United States) from California State University - East Bay, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Matthew later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in American History (United States) from the same university, completing their studies from 2012 to 2016.
