David Zar

David Zar is a seasoned professional in the fields of engineering and technology with extensive experience in ultrasound hardware and software consultancy. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant at Latham BioPharm Group, part of Sia Partners, David focuses on advancing life science services in medical device development. Previously, David held various leadership roles, including Chief Technology Officer at Aker Technologies, where innovative solutions for crop diagnostics were developed, and co-founder of Mobisante, which aimed to democratize ultrasound technology through mobile devices. With a solid educational background, including multiple degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, David has also contributed to academia as a research associate and educator in engineering disciplines.
